User Agreement

Terms for using the SymLab Studio engineering application.

1. Agreement and permitted access

By activating an account or using the private Studio after this agreement is presented, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not activate an account or use the private tools. SymLab grants invited users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for authorized engineering evaluation. Access may be suspended or revoked for misuse or at the workspace owner's direction.

2. Account responsibilities

Provide accurate account information, keep your password and invitation links confidential, and use only your own authorized account. Notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with your employer's policies and any project confidentiality obligations.

3. Engineering limitations

SymLab supports concept studies, calculations, and illustrative simulation. Results depend on the inputs, assumptions, and model scope. Validate dimensions, units, drive limits, control behavior, and production assumptions against actual equipment and OEM documentation before acting. The service does not certify machine safety, regulatory compliance, guarding, food-contact suitability, collision avoidance, or production performance. Do not use it to directly control machinery or make safety-critical decisions.

4. Your information and exports

You retain any rights you hold in your inputs and project information. Submit only information you are authorized to use. You permit SymLab and its providers to process information as needed to provide the functions you request and as described in the Privacy Policy. Keep your own backups of local scenarios and exported files. Downloaded copies are outside the hosted application's access controls.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, distribute malicious content, misuse another person's identity, or submit unlawful material. Do not upload passwords, authentication secrets, payment-card information, protected health information, or other regulated sensitive personal data. Do not remove attribution or imply ownership or endorsement of third-party brands.

6. Intellectual property

SymLab's interface, branding, and software remain subject to their owners' rights. Customer, equipment-manufacturer, and other third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Permission to use project tools does not grant a general license to redistribute those materials.

7. Availability and responsibility

The service may change, contain errors, or be unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular engineering outcome. You remain responsible for independent review, backups, and decisions made using outputs. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

8. Privacy, termination, and changes

The Privacy Policy explains data practices. You may stop using the service and request account removal through support. Revocation of hosted access does not delete files or scenarios already on your device. We will publish updates to this agreement with an effective date. Material changes will be presented through the application or another appropriate channel.

9. Questions and disputes

Contact SymLab support to raise a concern or seek resolution. This agreement does not require mandatory arbitration or waive rights available under applicable law.
